Song- Compass by Zella Day (Louis the Child Remix)

I took this photo from an interesting point of view. I took it sitting on the ground and looking up towards the sky. Compass is a very peaceful song and when I listen to it I imagine myself laying down in a big open field and looking up at the sky, daydreaming. The bright blue sky is very eye popping.

Culture

Compass has many lyrics that refer to nature, especially flowers. The lightness of Zella's voice reminds me of pretty and delicate things, which is why I took a photo of daisies. This photo demonstrates a great use of shallow depth of field.

I took this photo of two dandelions because in Compass, Zella sings about her loved one. I think these dandelions resemble them because they are close. This photo demonstrates a good use of aperature, and you are able to see each little feather.

I took this photo in Stanley Park, one of Vancouver's popular tourist attractions. The different flowers symbolize Canada's diversity. I also took this because Canada is full of beautiful nature, something we are very proud of and lucky to have. The very back of the photo shows bright light, indicating that where we live is a very happy place. I demonstrate a good use of vibrant color, am interesting point of view and a great use of aperture.

Famous Photographer: Michael Kenna

Michael Kenna is famous for his amazing night and early morning photos. He often takes his photos in black and white. I loved his pictures of bridges, so I chose to take a picture of the Alex Fraser Bridge. I captured the beautiful sky and the length of the bridge. There are also wooden posts in the water below it which are very eye catching and interesting to look at. I also took this photo in black and white. resembling Kenna's most famous works.

Fill the Frame/Creative Framing

I took this photo outside of Seaquam, which is odd because you would not think Seaquam would be the location. The photo is very dark and gloomy, giving it a spooky look. It is taken at a cool angle and perspective. The tree fills the frame and shallow depth of field is demonstrated.

Photo of the Week

These are two photos that I took of flowers and overlapped them. I think the lightness of the photo with multiple little flowers gives a beautiful contrast to the big yellow flowers. It is a beautiful photo to look at because of the colours.

This photo was taken in Burns Bog. I used two of the same photos to reflect each other because it interesting to look out and pops out. The black and white edit gives a contrast between the light and dark colours portrayed.

I took this photo in Burns Bog in the winter. The plant is very dry and rough looking. The sharpness it displays makes the photo very clear. Shallow depth of field is demonstrated very strongly.

This is a very beautiful photo of a small bunch of cherry blossoms. This photo makes me happy because it reminds me of spring since these are the first flowers to bloom. The colours are very bright which make the photo pop out. Each petal is extremely defined. I used the macro lens to take this.

This photo is very interesting because I can feel the wind and air as if I was in the photo. The grass is flowing very delicately and some of them are blurry, showing that they were moving. The fence is focused on and you can even see the rust. The background and blur really brings the photo to life. I would not change anything about it.

This is one of my favorite photos. I used the macro lens. also one of my favorites to capture every small leaf on the daisy. Even the yellow part is clearly defined. The background is black which makes the viewer only notice the flower, which is what I wanted to accomplish. The vibrant yellow colour stands out. It reminds me of summer because it is very bright.
